California Charm

I am spending the month of July in Los Angeles to visit family. I am always struck by the West Coast visuals of mountains, ocean, palm trees and amazing views from the twisting roads in the foothillls. The landscape is so different from my New Jersey home, but I love it here too and visit as often as I can.

I’ve selected three of my charm necklaces to highlight because they really make me think of California, each for a different reason.

The Aquamarine Chunky Charm Necklace immediately came to mind when I visited Malibu. This year I discovered Paradise Cove Beach which features a rock face for climbing right next to a spectacular beach where the water was incredibly blue like the sparkling Aquamarine gemstone.

The Diamond Crinkled Spiral Medallion Necklace reminds me of the twisting roads in the foothills here with incredible views of the city and mountains.. This necklace was in mind when I saw the Ball-Nogues Studio outdoor sculpture pictured below. I adore the undulating lines and pathways and try to incorporate that texture in my jewelry whenever I can.

The Hydroglossular Garnet Diamond Golden Crinkle Necklace perfectly captures the southern california color in plants and succulents that you see everywhere. The yellow green color of the Hydroglossular Garnet perfectly captures the hue of the local landscape.
