Winter Light

One thing that is really interesting about the winter landscape is the texture that emerges in this stripped down environment. With the leaves and flowers dormant, the bareness leaves texture exposed. I don’t love the bitter cold, but there is an intriquing web of branched connections to look at with a velvety covering of snow. The angles of winter light is very dramatic this time of year, so I’ve been experimenting with taking pictures of light and water spilling across texture.
